On 2 March 2023 in Baku, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mr. Muzaffar Huseinzoda participated and addressed the Summit-level Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Contact Group in response to COVID-19.

In his statement, Muzaffar Huseinzoda, speaking about the negative impact of the COVID-19 disease on various areas of public life, emphasized the need for continued assistance from the international community to vulnerable countries of the Movement, especially in ensuring food security and supply chains.

The Deputy Minister also drew the participants’ attention to the importance of Tajikistan’s global initiatives in the field of management and ensuring access to water resources, and encouraged them to fully utilize the opportunities, offered by the Water Action Decade in order to expand cooperation in the field of water and prevent the effects of climate change.
