On October 25, 2023, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin, participated and addressed at the high-level panel “Green energy transition and green hydrogen” in the Global Gateway Forum.

 

 

 

In his presentation on the country’s existing potential, Sirojiddin Muhriddin identified the hydropower sector as one of the main pillars of the “green transition” and the main source of green hydrogen production.

It was noted that the Republic of Tajikistan, having adopted the “Green Economy Strategy”, has laid the foundations for the transition to a green economy and intends to double the production of electricity from renewable sources by 2050.

 

 

 

The Foreign Minister also noted that Tajikistan has natural resources and critical raw materials that are needed by industrialised countries. He called on cooperation partners and financial institutions to use existing opportunities to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the parties.

In high-level panels at the Global Gateway Forum, representatives from countries around the world exchange views on the green transition, renewable energy production, transport corridors, as well as education, research and health.

On September 25, 2023, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Cairo solemnly celebrated the State Independence Day of Tajikistan and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Egypt.

 

 

 

 

The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Zarobiddin Kosimi, during his speech, spoke about the achievements of Tajikistan over the years of independence and the development of external relations, including with Egypt, and emphasized that Tajikistan and Egypt have great potential and resources to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.

 

 

 

Much attention was also paid to the presentation of Tajikistan’s global initiatives in the field of water and climate and the implementation of sustainable development goals, including the development of a “green economy” and “green energy”.

 

 

 

The event was attended by a wide range of ambassadors and the diplomatic corps in Cairo, high-ranking representatives of the Egyptian Parliament, ministries and departments, scientific and cultural circles, entrepreneurs and representatives of the media.

On April 13, 2023, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin took part in the 4th meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries.

The meeting was also attended by the foreign ministers of Iran, Pakistan, China, Turkmenistan, Russia and Uzbekistan.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current military-political, socio-economic and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, and also exchanged views on resolving issues of providing assistance to the people of this country.

As a result of the meeting, a joint declaration was adopted by the Foreign Ministers of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan.

WKF appoints Shin Koyamada as Karate’s Ambassador in Los Angeles
The World Karate Federation has appointed actor and KIF Global co-founder Shin Koyamada as Karate’s Ambassador in Los Angeles.

Originally from Japan, a black belt in Karate and Los Angeles resident for the last 20 years, Shin Koyamada is the co-founder and global chairman of KIF (Koyamada International Foundation).

Actor, producer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Shin Koyamada became best known worldwide for his film debut co-starring in “The Last Samurai” and starring in Disney Channel’s Movie “Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior”.

The decision to designate Koyamada as Karate’s Ambassador in Los Angeles comes following the WKF’s agreement with KIF and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to launch the far-reaching and momentous “Guardian Girls Global Karate project” to fight Gender-Based Violence.

The WKF signed a Memorandum of Understanding with KIF and UNFPA in Los Angeles last week to join forces to combat Gender-Based Violence around the world. The pilot event of the Guardian Girls Karate project was held on October 8th in Los Angeles.

WKF President Antonio Espinós said:

“Shin Koyamada is not only a true karateka at heart; he has been one of the main forces behind the creation of the Guardian Girls Karate project, the most ambitious social initiative of the WKF in the history of our organisation.

“With the appointment of Mr Koyamada as our Ambassador in Los Angeles, we hope to continue finding ways to spread the values of Karate in LA and around the world.”

Azerbaycan Parlamento Ekonomi Politikası, Sanayi ve Girişimcilik Komisyonu Üyesi Milletvekili Meşhur Memmedov, Azerbaycan Temsilcimiz Ülker Piriyeva `ya – “Jirinovski’nin kışkırtıcı sözleri hepimizde üzücü ve tiksindirici hiss yaratdı, yanıtı da kendini çok bekletmedi”, diye açıklamalarda bulundu.

Azerbaycan Milletvekili Meşhur Memmedov – Tüm dikkatimiz ve dualarımız Türkiye ile iken, Rusya Federasyonu Devlet Duması üyesi ve Rusya Liberal Demokrat Partisi başkanı Vladimir Jirinovski’nin Komsomolskaya Pravda radyo programı “İtogi s Jirinovski’de” yaptığı taraflı ve aşağılayıcı açıklamaları hepimizi hayal kırıklığına uğrattı.

Daha önce olduğu gibi, Jirinovski’nin anlamsız konuşmaları Azerbaycan’da açık bir şekilde hoş karşılanmamıştır, ancak şunu söylemeliyim ki ülke olarak Rusya ile diplomatik ve ekonomik ilişkilerimizi sürdürmekle ilgilendiğimiz için kendi ülkesinde bile küçük, önemsiz sayılan kişilerin ne dediğini hiç bir zaman umursamadık.

Evet, ne yazık ki birçok kişi devletlerarası ve kişisel ilişkileri ayırt edemiyor, bu kişi aynı zamanda, bir partiyi yönetiyor ve söylediklerinin sorumluluğunu anlamıyorsa eğer, ülke olarak bizler de kendi sözümüzü söyleyeceğiz ve memnuniyetsizliğimizi ifade edeceğiz.
Jirinovski’nin tuhaf ve taraflı açıklamasıyla ilgili ciddi endişelerimizi resmi olarak dile getirdiğimizi ve protestomuzun Dışişleri Bakanlığı düzeyinde komşu ülkenin Maslahatgüzarı’nın dikkatine sunulduğunu söylemeliyim.
Dolayısıyla, Rusya Devlet Duması’nda temsil edilen bir kişinin böyle davranışının etik dışı olduğu, ülkelerimiz arasındaki dostluk ve stratejik ortaklık ruhuyla bağdaşmadığı ve devlet düzeyinde bu ilişkilere zarar vermeye yönelik sorumsuz ve provokatif ifadeler olduğu vurgulanmıştır.
Aynı zamanda, olayla ilgili olarak karşı tarafa da bir nota gönderildi. Azerbaycan halkı misafirperver ve cömert bir halktır. Jirinovski daha önceleri de rahatsız edici fikirler dile getirse de, ülkemize olan her ziyareti zamanı, onun güvenliği ve diğer hizmetleri herhangi bir protesto olmaksızın her zaman yüksek düzeyde sağlanmıştır.

Elbette bu saygı karşısında Zaferimizi hazmedemediği için bu kadar provokatif görüşler dile getirmesi hepimize üzüntü hissi, tiksinti yarattı diyebilirim ve cevabı da kendini çok bekletmedi.
Sevgili yurttaşlar, Jirinovski’nin Rus devleti demek olmadığını unutmayalım ve bu hassas anlarda düşmanlarımıza, zaferimizi sindiremeyenlere kafa karıştırmak için bir sebep vermemeliyiz.
Büyük Vatan Savaşı sırasında Cumhurbaşkanımız sayın İlham Aliyevin profesyonel diplomasisiyle tüm dünyayı şaşırttığını unutmamalıyız. Elbette, Azerbaycan yine diplomasi yoluyla konuşacak.
Biz de millet olarak Sayın Cumhurbaşkanımızın etrafında kenetlenmeliyiz ve güçlü, muzaffer ülkemizle, demir yumruğumuzla birçok ülkenin bize bakarak dönüşümüne tanık olacağız!
