On April 30, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dushanbe, where he left an entry in the book of condolences opened in connection with the victims of the powerful explosion at the Shahid Rajoi port in the city of Bandar Abbas.

On March 5, 2024, on the sidelines of The Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the city of Jeddah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and Iran, as well as cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations.

At the same time, global and regional issues, including the current situation in Palestine, were discussed.

On December 4, 2023, in Kasane, Republic of Botswana 18th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage with participation of the representatives of UNESCO member states was launched. Representatives of state parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage participating in the session, which will continue its work until December 9, 2023.

 

 

 

Today, 6 December during the session Tajikistan`s joint nomination with Islamic Republic of Iran “Sada Holiday” was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

 

 

 

“Traditions of Atlas and Adras weaving” was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

“Tazhib – the art of illumination” was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity
