On April 21st, 2024, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Nizomiddin Zohidi, met with the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahdi Zayghami.

During the meeting, issues of strengthening cooperation between the ministries of industry of the two countries, including the participation of the Tajik delegation headed by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir at the IRAN EXPO-2024 exhibition (April 27-29, 2024), as well as the other issues of mutual interest were discussed.

The prospects of cooperation with Wabtec in the framework of the reconstruction of the railway industry in Kazakhstan were discussed at the meeting.

 

 

 

Rafael Santana informed the Head of State about the investment projects underway to launch in Kazakhstan the production of locomotives using hydrogen technologies and their components, the creation of an engineering center and technology transfer.

 

 

 

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the company’s plans to invest about $1 billion in the transport and logistics industry, noting that this will contribute to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and will become the basis for other infrastructure projects.

Within the framework of the President’s visit to the USA, a framework agreement on strategic cooperation was signed between the JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” and Wabtec.

 

 

 

 

Wabtec (Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation) is a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s leaders in transportation and logistics.

On April 10, 2023, in Chisinau, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Moldova with residence in Kyiv, Davlatali Nazrizoda, met with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova Sergey Harie.

 

 

 

During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and paid special attention to strengthening trade, economic, industrial and agricultural cooperation. It was emphasized that both states have a wide potential and untapped opportunities to expand mutually beneficial relations. Therefore, in order to develop cooperation and increase the volume of trade between the two countries, the parties considered it necessary to establish joint ventures and retail outlets for agro-industrial products, as well as holding business forums for businessmen from Tajikistan and Moldova.
